THIS DOCUMENT PROVIDES GUIDANCE ON THE USE OF SUNSYNK BATTERIES. IF YOUR SYSTEM IS NOT UTILISING THESE BATTERIES, KINDLY REFER TO THE GUIDANCE PROVIDED BY THE BATTERY MANUFACTURER.
Please be aware of the environmental temperature when charging and discharging the battery in accordance with the instructions set out in the following document. Winter Charging
Communication issue
The batteries are not communicating with the inverter.
1. Access the Li-BMS screen on the inverter screen and make sure that there is not a screen full of 0s.
2. Check that the Battery Settings have been adjusted so that the system can read Lithium batteries, and the battery capacity has been correctly established.
3. Please refer to the wiring instructions for the communication cables in our knowledge base to ensure correct installation. Multiple Batteries Wiring Diagram.
Settings issues
The System Mode settings have not been set correctly.
1. Access the System Mode Settings
2. Go to the System_1 tab
3. Tick the Use Timer checkbox
4. Please adjust the SOC values to align with the previously configured Low Batt setting on the battery settings page. Alternatively, you may increase the value to the desired level for battery charging from the grid/generator and select the corresponding checkbox. For further details, please refer to the link below. 5. Press Save/OK Voltage Difference (1.5V or above) The system has put the batteries in protection mode due to a difference in voltage of 1.5V or more between the inverter and the batteries. 1. Battery firmware
Firmware needs to be updated on the battery/batteries:
1. Make sure that the batteries are from the L/G/W series and that they can be seen on the app
2. Request the update via ticket by sending an e-mail to support@sunsynk.com
Should the batteries fail to charge or discharge despite following the instructions, we kindly request that you contact our technical support team.
