Installing a New SUN-BATT to an Existing SUN-BATT System

Created by Bryonie Simon, Modified on Sat, 9 May at 12:15 PM by Bryonie Simon

When installing a new SUN-BATT battery if you are combining a newer model with an older model the newer model MUST be installed as the master battery for communications to work.

The newer model SUN-BATT series can be identified by:

  • An additional red ON/OFF slider switch.

  • A port for a datalogger connection.

Connecting these with old-style SUN-BATT batteries as the master and new-style SUN-BATT batteries as the slave can cause communication and performance issues.

The red slider switch on the batteries acts as a BM reset – please ensure this is in the ON position for operation.
