W03 Grid Phase Wrong Error With 3 Single-Phase Connected Inverters on a Three-Phase System

Created by Bryonie Simon, Modified on Fri, 8 May at 9:17 PM by Bryonie Simon

On a three-phase inverter you have the ability to change the phase rotation of the system natively in the inverter settings between 0/120/240 and 0/240/120.

On the single-phase inverter this is not a built in setting. So when installing 3 single-phase inverters across three-phases you have to perform a workaround to clear the W03 alarm.

For a usual setup on a system with 3 singe-phase units on a three-phase system the parallel settings should be as below:

A

B

C

Parallel

Yes

Yes

Yes

Master or Slave

Master

Master

Master

Phase

A

B

C

Modbus ID

1

2

3

If the settings are set as above and Grid Phase wrong occurs, LEAVE ALL CONNECTIONS THE SAME, but change the settings to the below:

A

B

C

Parallel

Yes

Yes

Yes

Master or Slave

Master

Master

Master

Phase

A

C

B

Modbus ID

1

3

2

This settings change allows the system to detect a change in phase rotation and clears the fault.
